3- The characteristics of the product: Ethyl cellulose is white or light-grey liquid powder, odorless, tasteless and non-toxic,with thermoplasticity and good thermal stability .Soften point is 135-155℃;Apparent density is 0.3-0.4g/cm3;Relative density is 1.07-1.18;Melting point is 165-185℃. It is insoluble in the water, but soluble in methylbenzene, isopropanol, alcohol and the other organic solvent.The ash is much low when burning. It has strong properties of anti biological,metabolic inertia, but it is easy to occur oxidative degradation under the sunshine or UV-light.

4- Applications: Because it has functions of bonding,filler,film-forming, EC mainly used as materials of micro-capsule , food addictive, and adhesive of celluflor. It can be used in resin synthetic plastics, coating, rubber substitute , ink, insulation material. It can also be used as adhesive and finishing agent of textile, as animal feed addictive in husbandry, as adhesive in electronic products and military propellant. It also can be used in fields of printing and metallurgy, ect.

5- Sion methods: EC(DS:2.3-2.6), the frequently-used component solvent is arenes and alcohol. Arenes, benzene, methylbenzene, ethylbenzene, dimethylbenzene, ect..., the use level is 60-80%; alcohol, available methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, n-butyl alcohol, ect...,the use level is 20-40% ; or using organic solvent such as dichloromethane, terpineol, ethyl acetate to dissolve. Put EC slowly into the containers with organic solvent under stirring, till wetting and dissolving completely.
